Welcome fellow DoD Freelancers!!
This is the website I'm setting up for the notes and thoughts I have as well as some of my fellow players have on the newest addition to our Half-Life Modifications family. I will post strategies and tactics for different maps as I play them, and post links to helpful sites I find on the web.
Day of Defeats Main Website
Do you have any thoughts or ideas for a map on DoD, or maybe just something that I might've over looked or missed in previous maps I've played? Drop me a line and point it out to me. I'm far from perfect, but I like tidbits of info just as much as anyone else. You can reach me at:TheAbbevilleKid@yahoo.com

My Approach is Different Than Most Players.
From day one I've played the game from a different angle than most. Alot of the strategies I see are for those looking to rack up the most kills per game. I don't play it that way. I play to die the least. I want my Kill to Death ratio to be the best in the game. I always see guys with 50 kills, yet 35 deaths. Whats the fun in that??? How can you be happy with your score when your dying in the game every 15 seconds??? When I set out, I set out to live as long as possible and take as many people down before I finally get it. Fact is in this game, your going to die. No matter how good you are, no matter how bad they maybe, your going to get killed somehow someway in the game. Another fact is, if you manuever to take a shot, you leave yourself open to a shot from someone else. With those ideas in mind I hope you get something to add into your gameplan when you hit the public servers.

Day Of Defeat 2.0
DoD Is in my mind, the best Half Life modification out there for the average schmuck like me to play. I grew up watchin the old World War II movies like, Battle of the Bulge, Patton, A Bridge Too Far and the like. I always wondered what war would be like as a kid, and as videogames evolved over the years, slowly but surely they became more and more realistic. Even today they continue to amaze me with some of the characteristics and details they provide you with as they immerse you in your selected environment.
DoD Forums: A hotbed of Info for the DoD Player
The two main maps I play most are Schwetzigen and Dog1. In the next couple of pages you'll see my notes about areas I play in most in each of the maps, also what class of soldier I am and at what times of the game I change to other classes and why. So read on and enjoy!!
